House Rules: With much love and respect we appreciate your choice to stay here with us at Aloha Crater Lodge. We are commited to making your Hawaii Island and Volcano area experience the best possible. Please call if you have any trouble or complications, we are here for you.  With that in mind we expect all of our Guests to treat all others on site with the same in kind. Do unto others as you would have them do to you.


Booking Policies:  After the Guest creates their reservation a charge for the 30% deposit will be automatically made 30 days prior to the arrival date.  A cancellation up to 31 days prior to check in will not be charged the 30% deposit. Cancellations within 30 days, after the deposit has been automatically charged  are forfeit/nonrefundable.

After the Guest creates their reservation a charge for the 30% deposit will be made 30 days prior to their arrival date. A cancellation 31 days prior to the arrival date will not be charged the 30%deposit. A cancellation within 30 days of the arrival date is a forfeit of the 30% deposit, the deposit is non-refundable. Guests who must cancel within the 30-day non-refundable period will be offered a date change up to 6 months in advance. A cancellation made any time in the 6 month grace period is non-refundable. payment of the reservation must be made at check-in.

  1. Listening to music in rooms or areas close to them is prohibited.
  2. No smoking in closed areas or near the rooms.
  3. Only pets are allowed under reservation and in some rooms.
  4. We are not responsible for damage or loss of personal belongings.
  5. Damage will be charged (wine stains, burns, cuts, among others) that the guest may cause during their stay.
  6. We reserve the right of admission and permanence.
  7. We are not responsible for personal injuries caused inside or outside our facilities' installation, during the stay or transit in our facilities.
  8. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any situation caused in tours or walks outside our facilities.


Cancellation Policy

Please read our cancellation policy carefully, as it is not common for us to make an exception for it. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, we would appreciate your paying attention to the following:


  • No refund is made.
  • Date changes will be made at least 8 days in advance.
  • If the guest cancels less than 8 days in advance, the advance payment will not be refundable.
  • If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the paid nights will not be refundable.

In case the guest simply does not show up (and does not cancel in advance), the total price of the reservation will be charged and this will be non-refundable.

For reasons of the COVID-19 pandemic, if the guest cancels with less than 8 days, the beds will be opened for sale, and in case the beds are sold, the guest can use their advance payment for a future reservation within the next 12 months. You must attach a positive test.
